This year again, Diadem was a part of the NASSCOM Product Conclave (NPC) 2016, held last month in Kolkata – 15th July 2016. Branded by its theme “Technology Fuelling Business Growth”, the event witnessed spirited participation from emerging and established start-ups, industry leaders, stalwarts, dignitaries, and the student community, resulting into a ‘sold-out’ a day before the event commenced. We are proud to have participated in this biggest IT event of East India as their official cloud partner.
The turnout was overwhelming, and the buzz unmissable, as the conclave brought together dynamic entrepreneurs, promising startups, investors, and analysts on the same floor, allowing the free flow of ideas, networking, and the much-needed workshops on growth hacks, to scale up a successful business.
Registration formalities and felicitations were followed by a welcome speech by the Chairman of the NASSCOM Eastern Regional Council, Mr. Kamal Agarwala, who inaugurated the proceedings for the day by welcoming delegates, putting into words the vision of the event. Mr. Talleen Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Information and Electronics Department, Government of West Bengal, graced the occasion while Mr. C.P. Gurnani, Chairman, NASSCOM, presented the Keynote
The session directly ushered into a discussion on “IT Growth in Kolkata”, moderated by Anuj Puri, Chairman, JLL India, and participated by Mr. Biswajit Ghosh (Head Global Real Estate Procurement, Cognizant), Mr. Alok Aggarwal (CEO, Brookfield India Office Parks Ltd.), Mr. Suresh Menon (Vice President and General Manager Eastern Region, TCS), and Mr. Sumeet Anand (Global Infrastructure and Logistics Leader, GENPACT).
A networking break, which ensured free space for ideas to converge, was followed by three informative workshops held simultaneously at the Hyatt Ballrooms. The workshops were designed to provide illuminating insights on transformational ideas like Data Science and Analytics”, presented by Aarti Kapur, Principal Consultant, Fractal Analytics, “How we Got 80 Million App Downloads” byAlok Kejriwal @rodinhood, Co-Founder and CEO, Games2Win India Pvt. Ltd., and “Digital Growth Hacking” by Som Singh, Founder, and CEO of Unspun Consulting Group. The interactive workshops saw invigorated participation, making its way into enlightening question answer sessions.
Post-lunch, three simultaneous workshops marked the return of Alok Kejriwal with “Gaming and India”, an illustration on growth hacks related to building and catering Indian audience on the AppStore. Kavi Arya, Associate Professor, IIT Bombay, spoke on “Robotics and its Value proposition to Industry”, and Srinidhi Rao of Robosoft Technologies discussed “Emotion Engineering and Design”, elaborating on how emotion plays a vital role in designing for mobility.
The session on “Emotion Engineering and Design” continued after a brisk network break, followed by other edifying sessions like “Application of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality”, by Harsha Padmanabha, Co-Founder of Visarity Technologies, and “Storytelling for Business”
